Citation

Research submitted to the API journal must be based on relevant, high-quality scientific literature. Activities such as citation manipulation, including excessive self-citation, coordination between authors to cite each other, or the unjustified inclusion of articles from the same journal, are considered unacceptable practices that may result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript.

In this regard, to ensure academic integrity, authors must support all statements with appropriate references, prioritise original sources over secondary sources, ensure the accuracy of citations by avoiding misrepresentation of content, refrain from citing material not consulted, minimise self-citation or preferential citation of colleagues or one's own institution, and give preference to peer-reviewed literature.
